Team Community Service of the Rotaract Club of Hinduja College Initiated the event "People For Purpose." The event's objective was to serve people in need by donating food and clothing to people living on the street, following safety guidelines.
The club raised money from those who wanted to donate voluntarily. Approximately 65 kg of raw rice was donated at several locations on Charni Road and Worli. For clothing, club members picked up their old clothes after the New Year and gave them away instead of discarding them.
About forty people donated clothing near Worli and outside of Siddhivinayak Temple (Mumbai). During the pandemic, club members saw the happiness in the faces of those receiving food and clothing, which their unique initiative made one happy.
The club focuses on continuing these initiatives, which can continue to serve the community, even during crises, and enable students to serve in the right direction.
